The Urbana U70 Tall is the large-format 3-sided (bay) model of the U70 series: a panoramic flame on three sides, a glass height increased to 26-3/8″, and a clean-face finish. The pillarless glass-to-glass corners and double glazing offer a spectacular view while improving surface comfort. With up to 52,500 BTU/h, a 3D burner, and a wide choice of media and liners, the U70 Tall becomes the visual centerpiece of a high-end media wall in Quebec.
Enlarged 3-sided view: 70″ × 26-3/8″ front, 15″ × 26-3/8″ sides, total glass surface ≈ 2,637 sq. in.
Ultra-clear double glazing: increased safety and comfort, without the need for an additional screen.
Glass-to-glass corner construction: unobstructed view, continuity from top to bottom.
Input power: up to 52,500 BTU/h (NG).
Customization: driftwood or traditional logs, river rock + branches, decorative glass; black painted, fluted, or black Infinity Glass liners.
The Tall height showcases a deep flame visible from multiple angles. The double glazing limits direct radiant heat to the touch, facilitating the integration of sensitive elements (e.g., TV) when clearances are respected. Firebox lighting enhances the ember bed for a premium effect in any season.
Type: Direct Vent gas fireplace.
Gas: natural gas; propane conversion possible with kit.
Codes & standards: installation by a qualified contractor according to CSA B149.1; appliance certified ANSI Z21.88 / CSA 2.33; Power Vent options according to the manual.
Framing / clearances / vents: follow the U50/U70/U70T installation manual (framing, terminations, vent lengths, and accessories). Drawing guides available.
Annual: inspection of burners, glass, and gaskets; safety control check; media cleaning.
Regular: dusting of air intakes, verification of ignition and draft.
Warranty: manufacturer limited (parts) — see Urbana documentation.
