Ortal Traditional Collection brings the classic fireplace up to date with clean, adjustable, and safe gas combustion. Depending on the desired style, you can choose between the Wilderness burner (flames through the logs) for striking wood realism, and the Signature burner for a full, elegant flame. The Traditional 90/110 (Signature) and Wilderness Traditional 36/42 (Wilderness) models offer generous viewing areas, a 5″×8″ co-axial vent, and various interior media (brick, Blackridge, black glass) to integrate the fireplace into traditional or contemporary settings.

Ortal Traditional Collection – Key Features

Two flame styles: Wilderness (flame through the logs) or Signature (full, even flame).
Power and efficiency: up to 55,000 BTU/h on Traditional 90/110 models (Signature) and ≈32,000 BTU/h on Wilderness Traditional 36/42, with AFUE up to ~81–84% depending on fuel.
5×8 Direct Vent (co-axial) and Power Vent option for long runs.
Thermal barrier: micro-mesh screen (and double glass available on Wilderness 36/42).
Comfort & control: remote control, Wi-Fi control, interior lighting, discreet fans.

Installation & Compliance (Québec)

Ortal Traditional fireplaces are direct vent appliances. Installation must be performed by a qualified contractor according to CSA B149.1 Code (natural gas/propane) and the clearances/finishes specified in the manuals and framing sheets. The Cool Wall/Heat Control option allows integration of a television or heat-sensitive finish above the fireplace, when implemented according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Maintenance & Use

Anti-reflective glass and ceramic media require light maintenance; plan for an annual inspection of venting and seals, as well as seasonal cleaning of the screen/double-glass. Technical documents (cuts, templates, manuals) specify the framing and maintenance requirements specific to each model.
