The Dimplex Mapleton Optimyst is a premium electric stove that combines cast-iron styling with a 3D water-vapour flame. Its panoramic three-sided view and realistic logs create a wood-fire ambiance, without a vent or emissions. The integrated water tank delivers 8 to 10 hours of continuous flame effect; the unit simply plugs into a standard outlet (120 V AC) and offers 2-stage supplemental heat depending on regional versions. Ideal for living areas, condos, and high-end renovation projects.
• Optimyst® technology (flame + water-vapour “smoke”) for striking realism.
• 3-sided viewing, opening door, cast-iron design, log set, and crackling sound.
• Easy-access reservoir: 8–10 h runtime per fill.
• Built-in 2-level supplemental heat (up to 2.0–2.1 kW on 230 V versions; 120 V versions stated up to ~6,800 BTU).
• “Sight & Sound” remote control for flame, heat, and sound.
• EU versions (Mapleton 80/100): 1,000/2,000–2,100 W, thermostat, flame-only consumption ~125–130 W, up to 8–10 h runtime; 230–240 V/50 Hz.
• North America version (Mapleton Optimyst): 120 V plug-in, supplemental heat stated “up to 1,000 ft²” (up to ~6,800 BTU), with flame-only operation as needed.
• Recommended use: year-round ambiance, occasional supplemental heat (living room, bedroom, condo).
• No venting required; portable/freestanding electric unit. A dedicated 120 V outlet is recommended for heating use in Canada; for the EU 230 V version, power must match the room circuit.
• Follow the clearances in the manual and avoid direct drafts that disrupt the vapour. For fixed integration or a decorative outlet, an optional 6″ flue collar is available.
• Gas/wood codes (CSA B149.1/B365) do not apply; electrical installation must comply with the Québec Building Code/Canadian Electrical Code.
• Fill the tank with filtered water; periodically clean/descale the Optimyst cassette; check and dust the fan grille.
• EU warranty stated as 2 years (Mapleton 100 reference); local policy in Canada to be confirmed with Dimplex Americas.
• Consumables: filters/descaling as required based on use.
