The Ortal Tunnel Collection features see-through gas fireplaces integrated into a wall or column to elegantly separate two zones without losing the view of the fire. The flame is visible from the front and back, creating a spectacular focal point for open-concept spaces, hotels, restaurants, or high-end residences. Models cover standard widths (110–250) and vertical formats (40H70, 60×80, 75×65) to adapt design and heat to your project.

Ortal Tunnel Collection Key Features

Passive Cool Wall Technology: allows for a television or artwork to be placed above the fireplace (wall thermal management).
Choice of Heat Barriers: double glazing for a sleek look or micro-mesh screen depending on use and style.
Coaxial Direct Venting: 5×8″ on most standard widths; 4×6″ on certain vertical models (e.g., 60×80, 75×65).
Pro Options: Power Vent, smart control (Wi-Fi/app), internal lighting, decorative media, and optional Wilderness burner (flame through the logs).

Ortal Tunnel Collection Performance & Comfort

Depending on the model, power varies from approximately 29,100 BTU/h (TN 75×65) to 43,715 BTU/h (TN 150/150H/150HH/170), with typical AFUE ratings between ~77–82%. Vertical models like the 60×80 (21 ¾″ × 29 ⅛″) use a 4×6 vent and feature 34,775 BTU/h and 81.7% AFUE (NG). The 150 formats are available in three glass heights: 13 ¾″, 21 ⅝″, and 29 ½″ to control visual impact and heat.

Installation & Compliance (Quebec)

Direct vent gas fireplace (sealed coaxial). Must comply with CSA B149.1 standard and municipal requirements. Clearances, framing, and hearth heights vary by model: refer to the installation manuals and framing plans provided by Ortal for the chosen model. The Cool Wall option and heat barriers help protect wall finishes and equipment. Installation by a certified gas technician is highly recommended.

Maintenance & Warranty

Easy-to-maintain double glass or screen, front-access components, and diagnostics via remote/wall control. Media (logs, stones, glass) are replaceable to refresh the decor over the years. See manufacturer documents for the warranty specific to each model.
