The Dimplex Optimyst e-MatriX delivers a spectacular 3D flame created by a fine lit water mist. Designed for zero-vent built-in installation, it comes in three configurationssingle-sided, corner (2-sided), or bay (3-sided) — to integrate a residential media wall or a commercial space without the constraints of a gas fireplace. 120 V, 270 W, cool-to-the-touch glass, ¼” water connection, and the Flame Connect app: everything for a clean, safe installation in Québec.

Dimplex Optimyst e-MatriX – Key features

  • Optimyst technology: water vapor + LED → ultra-realistic flames and “smoke”, with no scorching-hot glass.

  • Sizes & configurations (800/650 series “32″ × 26″”): 1-sided (FEF3226L1), 2-sided left/right (FEF3226L2L / L2R), 3-sided (FEF3226L3).

  • Power: 120 V, ≈ 270 W, ≈ 2.25 A (hardwired). No supplemental heat (ambiance unit).

  • Water: permanent ¼” connection (8–110 psi), approx. 0.30 L/h consumption; integrated overflow protection.

  • Fresh air required: provide ≥ 40 in² of intake under the unit (increase if a grille reduces free area).

  • Controls & comfort: remote + Flame Connect app; optional crackling sounds and a realistic log set.

Dimplex Optimyst e-MatriX – Performance & comfort

Designed for ambiance rather than heating, the e-MatriX delivers flame depth and an immersive visual that remains stable when the air supply and water supply meet requirements. Avoid drafts (HVAC vents, fans) that disrupt the flame, as you would with a candle.

Installation & compliance (Québec)

  • Type: water-vapor electric fireplace (built-in, hardwired 120 V). No venting.

  • Fresh air: min. 40 in² under the unit; clear the area if a grille reduces the opening.

  • Water: ¼” supply (8–110 psi) + supplied filters; use non-hard water or softened/filtered water.

  • Standards: electrical product (not subject to CSA B149.1/B365). Follow the Canadian Electrical Code and the manual.

  • Certifications: cULus marking (ref. E71416 noted), dry indoor use.

Maintenance & warranty

  • Routine: ensure periodic cleaning of nozzles/filters and a clear air intake; check water filters.

  • Warranty: 2-year limited (manufacturer — Dimplex electric products).

  • Noréa tip: plan for a dedicated 15 A outlet if other loads trip the circuit.
